Located in Brewster County, near Terlingua Ranch and the beautiful Big Bend region of Texas,
the Outback 40 Ranch is 40 acres of secluded and very primitive ranch land.
All 40 acres of the ranch offer an abundance of scenery, wildlife, and fossils from prehistoric times.
There are treasures to be found: wonderful specimens of petrified wood (including a 30 ft tree), ancient tools, fossils, and dinosaur bones!
This beautiful ranch is perfect for camping and exploring.
The scenery is spectacular. In the evenings the sun reflects off the Rosillos and Sierra del Carmen Mountains, and the effect is breathtaking.
There is also a wonderful view of Big Bend National Park.
Golden Eagles and Red Tailed Hawks are abundant. A small pond nearby is frequently visited by wildlife, such as javalina and deer.
At night you can hear coyotes singing to each other, and foxes yipping as they pass by.
The Outback 40 Ranch is a fantastic area to view the sky at night.
This unique ranch has a variety of terrain to explore and enjoy. Come see for yourself.
